The project team is developing an alternative analysis that evaluates 3 design alternatives for Provo River levee reconstruction and rehabilitation along the 9 miles of levee. The alternatives are evaluating methods to reduce cost and minimize impacts to residential and commercial properties. The Provo River corridor is highly valued asset by the community and our project team looks to preserve this asset while providing a levee system that provides protection from flood risk.
CRS leads a team of Michael Baker International, Gerhart Cole, Bio-West, and Allred Restoration in partnering with Provo City to assist with the Provo River Levee Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Program. Improvements extend along 3 miles of the Provo River and include river restoration, bank stabilization, hydraulic analysis, environmental assessments, plan development, geotechnical analysis, countermeasure design, and public involvement. The project funding is through a FEMA Hazard Mitigation Project Grant, and the project complies with all submittals and coordination with FEMA funding requirements.
