Project Challenge
Growth prompted planning and expansion of major arterial roadway connecting Eagle Mountain to Redwood Road and on to I-15. | Widen 2-lane road to 5-lanes with active transportation bike lanes and upgraded utilities.
CRS Solution/Benefit
CRS designed 2.5 miles of roadway widening from a two-lane roadway to five-lanes with bicycle lanes. Forward compatibility included elevations, drainage, and utility locations to accommodate future roadway and development connections. Safety improvements included increasing clear zones and a separated multi-use path. Two new traffic signals were designed and three existing signals modified with turn lanes. CRS also provided survey, ROW documents, drainage and irrigation designs, full environmental permitting, and support during construction.
