CRS provided site design work for this 101 acre project . This complex food production and storage facility’s site had ground water and drainage problems, requiring installation of sub-drains and a full storm water retention basin. Railroad spurs were designed for the site into a specially designed rail unloading shed. CRS also provided all civil design for the large site utility systems, as well as special work on industrial waste pre-treatment systems. The project included employee parking lots, truck loading docks, and storage and docking ramps. Construction of the plant totaled $100 million. Since the completion of the initial facilities, CRS has completed site engineering and design for a new storage warehouse and cereal line as well as railroad design for an additional rail line.
