Project Challenge
Drainage improvements along SR-134 from 12th Street to Walker Slough were implemented to convey roadway and adjacent property runoff to reduce flooding and high ground water.
CRS Solution/Benefit
CRS designed 2.5-miles of roadway widening from a two-lane roadway to five-lanes with bicycle lanes. Forward compatibility included elevations, drainage, and utility locations to accommodate future roadway and development connections. Safety improvements included increasing clear zones and a separated multi-use path. Three new traffic signal were designed and three additional signals modified with turn lanes. CRS also provided survey, ROW documents, drainage and irrigation designs, and full environmental permitting.
